Premium Drinks Packaging with Custom Butted Tubes

The Palmarae Gin project required the design of butted tubes that offered both refined presentation and sturdy protection. We crafted printed cardboard tubes with rolled ends for added strength and seamless aesthetics. The tubes measured 370mm in height and 100mm in diameter, topped with a 50mm high lid, ensuring a snug and secure fit for the thick ceramic gin bottles.

For materials, we used 150gsm uncoated white Kraft paper, giving the tubes a sophisticated yet natural feel — ideal for luxury printed tubes aiming to highlight authenticity. Copper foil stamping featuring the Palmarae logo brought a rich, metallic contrast, enhancing the premium nature of the packaging.

To complete the luxury feel, we incorporated matt lamination for scratch resistance and additional refinement, along with embossed foil-stamped details across the lid and body. This combination of foil stamping and embossing enhanced the tactile and visual experience, capturing the true essence of luxury for this premium custom tube packaging solution.

Customisation Techniques to Enhance Luxury Appeal

To make Palmarae Gin’s brand even more memorable, we applied customisation techniques such as intricate foil stamping and precise embossing. Foil stamping in copper tones gave the packaging an opulent sheen, perfect for reinforcing the gin’s high-end status, while being a sustainable and environmentally responsible design choice.

Embossing added a three-dimensional quality to the logo and palm tree motifs, enriching the customer experience both visually and through touch. This attention to texture and detail set the cylinder packaging apart, making it not just a container, but an extension of the Palmarae brand identity — ideal for use in premium gift sets, bar displays, or direct-to-consumer deliveries.
